In addition to clerical and support staff, our office currently employs two Enrolled Agents (“EA”). An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service, like attorneys and CPAs. Enrolled Agent is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Staff Profiles

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Josh grew up playing baseball and enjoying everything the beautiful Columbia River Gorge had to offer. He received his Bachelors in Mathematics from Grand Canyon University in 2007.

After meeting his wife Alyssa Melum (D’Esposito), he was soon introduced to the family tax practice, D’Esposito & Associates, Inc, in 2010. He had a knack for numbers and quickly took to the complexities and nuances of tax laws and regulations. Ambitious to further help his clients and professional career, he successfully completed all three Special Enrollment Exams to earn the elite IRS status of Enrolled Agent (“EA”) in 2014. In 2015, he joined the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Chapter of National Association of Tax Professionals. In 2016, Josh acquired the former D’Esposito & Associates, Inc practice in Cream Ridge, NJ. In 2020, he served as the Vice President of the NJ NATP and is currently serving as the President for 2021.  When not working, Josh will be found spending time with his Wife and three children, Charlotte, Mason, and Freya.
